Real guns have become the latest ‘must-have’ fashion accessories among teenage boys of South London.

Murder of three teenagers in the last two weeks in London has sparked a row of fear and concern among community leaders, politicians and parents. Claudia Webbe, vice chair of the independent advisory group to the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Trident said that youngsters want to be seen with guns as it makes them feel empowered.

Guns have gone from the domain of the crack cocaine dealers to now being an everyday accessory, a fashionable accessory that young people want to be seen with. It’s become a lifestyle choice... part of a culture to be part of a gang. I think that’s what’s motivating young people, where a gun has become almost a status symbol demanding respect and power,

she was quoted saying.

The main reason behind such a violent trend is easy access to guns and lack of communication and increasing tension between parents and youth.

Ben Okechukwu, father of Ruth Okechukwu, who was stabbed to death by Robert Malasi in 2005, also agreed to this. He said that it is important to trace the origin of these guns and investigate where they are coming from. He added that,

not enough is being done to check the infiltration of guns and knives.

Such violent trends need to be investigated very seriously, as many innocent are losing their lives, leaving their parents helpless and heart-broken.

After borrowing skirts, make-up and pantyhose from women, men have fallen for their corsets. Corsets might become one if the most wanted items this fashion season, for men.

Young Parisian corset specialist Sylvain Nuffer, foreseeing the trend making corsets for males four years ago. He sells approximately 30 corsets in an year and retails them at 500 to 600 euros (650 to 775 dollars) per piece.

Nuffer said,

I felt frustrated by the lack of choice of clothing for men. I made one for myself and they kind of multiplied.

Corsets are not a trend of modern day world. Their existence can be traced back to the medieval horsemen who wore them to safeguard their spine, the same reason for which they are worn by bikers these days.

Nuffer’s early creations were highly criticized as it was reasoned that a garment so damn stiff would be very uncomfortable. However, Laurent Renaud, who is a teacher at a fashion school wears a corset everyday. He says that,

I wear it over a shirt or under a sweater. I use it as daywear or to go out at night. The problem is you get so used to it keeping you straight that it gets difficult to go without.

After borrowing boyfriend jeans, girls can again raid their boyfriends’ wardrobe for lacy corsets.

I’m just wondering how any woman this side of Neverland can get her man to willingly wear one of these!

But I have to admit that it is one hellava cute thing. It’s made from 100% Polyester for a super-comfortable wear.

The list of maintenance instructions may be long (Cold rinse after use. Gentle machine/hand wash in cold water. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not iron.), but I suppose its worth the looks.

Price: $54.07

LA designer Andrew Christian has introduced a new design for his line of underwear that makes it really ’stand out’ from all the other brands on the market.

The printed men’s briefs contain a strap inside that lifts and accentuates an individual’s “prized possessions’ with its provocatively named Show-It Technology.

The old rolled-up tube-sox trick is gonna seem so dated when you get yourself a couple of these.

Andrew Christian has been designing urban inspired menswear for almost a decade now.

Taking his inspiration from pop culture and street trends, his designs are fun and funky, sexy and sophisticated but always comfortable and wearable.

You can get his seductive cutting edge line online at store.andrewchristian.

This pic reminded me that it’s been a long time since I read a really good George Bush joke. I found one today, so here you go:

Bill Clinton, Al Gore and George W. Bush went to a fitness spa for some fun. After a stimulating, healthy lunch, all three decided to visit the men’s room where they found a strange-looking gentleman sitting at the entrance.

He said, ‘Welcome to the gentlemen’s room. Be sure to check out our newest feature, a mirror that, if you look into it and say something truthful, you will be rewarded with your wish. But be warned, if you say something false, you will be sucked into the mirror to live in a void of nothingness for all eternity!’

The three men quickly entered and upon finding the mirror, Bill Clinton stepped up and said, ‘I think I’m the most intelligent of us three,’ and he suddenly found the keys to a brand new Bentley in his hands.

Al Gore stepped up and said, ‘I think I’m the most ambitious of us three,’ and in an instant, he was surrounded by a pile of money to fund his next Presidential Campaign.

Excited over the possibility of finally having a wish come true, George W. Bush looked into the mirror and said, ‘I think...,’ and was instantly sucked into the mirror.

Lol... Anyway, have a nice day!

The big buzz at the debut Marni men’s runway show at the Milan Fashion Week is all about legs. Or leggings, to be more precise.

Interestingly the new must-haves for men this coming fall will be a pair of leggings to be worn outside, and not just not just in, the house.

Almost half the looks in this picturesque and unexpected collection had models wearing leggings made of microfiber cotton and wool. except a couple of pairs cut above the knee nearly all featured stirrup straps with colors as reassuring as violet, forest green and Milan fog gray.

Paired with mercerized cotton jerkins, snug little Rude Boy with manners jackets and Two Tone era skinny ties, these leggings stole the show. Marni shoes were also real winners, with knobby workerist boots in bottle green or metallic gray with subtle strips of contrasting color like burgundy leading the pack.

“Unconventional but sophisticated,” smiled Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni’s Creative Director, backstage after the show.

So what are the odds that we will actually see guys on the street wearing a pair?
I guess we’ll just have to wait till fall for this one to unravel.

Look romantic, sophisticated, cool rugged or even refined with designer stubble.

Depending on which way you wear it, a well groomed light hint of facial hair is one of the lasting facial hair trends that works for so many different men, stubble can work for you too.

Designer stubble is a rugged way to add interest to your face without sporting a full beard, and it has a dashing, almost dangerous appeal that mustaches and goatees simply don’t have.

Designer stubble can give your jaw a more angular look, and minimize a soft jaw or double chin if you have a ‘baby face’ with rounded cheeks and an overall cherubic look. Try pairing your stubble with messy bangs or a layered haircut to add a little more angularity to a soft face shape.

If wearing suits every day and overly formal environment at work is getting you down, then a little stubble can add that edge to your appearance. And if you groom regularly it might just be very acceptable in your office as well.

Shave every couple of days
to keep your shadow effect from sprouting into a full beard. To maintain your designer stubble look, you can decide whether or not you’d like to shave your neckline close to keep your stubble more polished.

Pay attention to how fast your facial hair grows and stay trimmed. Designer stubble is an ongoing process of upkeep, so you can’t just shape it and leave it.

Because your designer stubble is close to the skin, it’s even more important to cleanse your facial hair properly. Use a Beard Conditioner after you wash your face completely to keep your stubble soft, but don’t use too much!

Be careful not to get an uneven or patchy appearance. For best results, try a groomer for selecting just the right level of stubble. The blades are perfect for trimming and maintaining your designer stubble.

Designer stubble rules over other facial hair looks simply by its staying power. And although it has been more popular these past few years, it’s a look that will never truly disappear.
