Japanese avant-garde designer Yohji Yamamoto has teamed up with cult Italian luggage maker Mandarina Duck to create a range of bags and clothing. The line named Y’s Mandarina plays off the strength of both brands.

Y’s Mandarina will feature 48 signature pieces that will be both innovative and sleekly simple.

Mandarina Duck VP Sergio Rao explains

We were aiming at informal elegance, as well as “new ideas and new concepts that could be exploited.

The collection is divided into two sections - Y and M. The Y Division features avant-garde designs such as a hybrid hood-sleeve-bag. The M division offers more practical pieces like wallets, dopp kits, duffels, and suitcases that combine Mandarina Duck’s signature leathers and nylons with a minimal vibe that’s all Yohji. As expected, the collection is mostly in tones of black.

Prices for the Y’s Mandarina start from $100 for a leather key holder, and go all the way up to $680 for a trolley suitcase.

If you think that women’s jeans are for females only, you are mistaken. Believe it or not, Sydney men are now picking up women’s jeans! Yes, this is the latest trend in Australia.

Baggy jeans are out and women’s jeans are in. Aussie blokes now want to look skinnier and are picking up the skinny, stove-pipe style of jeans. This latest fad was confirmed by leading fashion labels past weekend.

Sarah-Jane Clarke, of leading Australian denim label, sass & bide said,

We’re finding lots of blokes buying and wearing our skinny, stove-pipe style as they’ve found it hard to find jeans that tight and that comfy on the men’s racks.’

The blokes tend to be super skinny guys who like the comfort factor, probably because there is extra lycra used in female styles.

And fashion-conscious Italians are held responsible for this latest fad. Leading labels believe that this latest trend began somewhere near Milan but insist it isn’t just a fad. They consider the style never really went out of fashion.

Hmm! It seems that 1950’s fad is back.

Even heart throbbing female celebrities on the red carpet could not shadow our male celebrities. They favored tuxes and highly polished looks.Leonardo DiCaprio was the most handsome male in clean shave and gel hair. Peter O’Toole injected flair into the men’s fashion quotient with his burgundy number. Mark Wahlberg in bow tie can give you an idea to dress up for special occasions.

James McAvoy at Oscars in french-beard and cool style made himself the favorite choice of girls.

Men rings are different from those delicate babies of women. They should be strong and appear something like ‘macho’ and sturdy. Some men love to wear those small stones that are accumulated in one ring. That is not at all my taste as these appear as girlish thing for me.

Men look perfect in ring bands, and can be compromised for a huge stone ring. The above shown is a chic ring band from Konstantino Treasures Collection. Maltese Cross Ring is in carved sterling silver with 18-karat yellow gold cross. The piece is fully hand crafted in Greece. Price: $445

In addition, if you are interested to play with your band then here is something appealing for you from David Heston. ‘Interlocking Ring’ is designed with a theme that opposites attract- made in silver sterling rings: one shiny, one matte. I will suggest you to wear this ring if you are single as you can split it and propose to someone without any wastage of time.Price: $200.00
