Purchasing something and that too for a cause gives me great satisfaction. A terrifying statistic predicts that 10 million women around the world can die from breast cancer in the next twenty-five years without treatment. May be one among them is known to you!

A thought strikes mind how do we help? Belkin International Inc., announces its two new cases (the Sport Armband and the ‘Hope’ Remix Metal) for your iPod nano, which helps donate $3 - per sale of the item - to Susan G. Komen for the cure of breast cancer, from May 1, 2007, through January 31, 2008.

May be the pink armband is not your favorite color; the other option to join the fight can be Belkin Remix Metal case. Both these products are compatible with Apple iPod.

Price: $24.99 each

Oak is a cool brand and so are their clothes. Today, browsing through the web, I just got a sneak peek into the Oak’s Spring 2008 men’s collection. Their men/women clothing collection for 2007 is already out.

With half of the 2007 already through, we are getting close to 2008 and thus, it is always great to get a peek into a collection made for the year 2008. It is an interesting collection. The colors used in the collection have refreshed me, at last. I was quite bored seeing black, blues and grey. The look is intriguing and nice. The shirts can get longer next season. I liked this shirt that has an element of inspiration from the Indian kurta. Where this season saw girls with Capri’s and other knee length trousers, it seems the next season, we will be seeing boys and men in such stuff.

It might sound hilarious first, but take a look at these pictures and you will easily make out that the trend can work for all you men out there. As my prediction goes after seeing the collection, I guess the uppers will be loose for sure, but the lowers can be both tight and loose. Colored denims are back in fashion and for guys, this different blue can really work a magic. For more looks and inspiration from the same collection, check here. Work it out!

Even when I know a few men who help their wives with the household work, I am prejudiced to think that men don’t or hesitate to help and go that far. It might be because of the fact that I also know many a men who will always search for their wives even do a small bit. They’ll always leave everything on their wives just because they are wives! However, a new study shows that unlike married men, men who are sharing a room with the other sex or are in live-in relationships tend to do much more household work, thus, sharing more responsibilities. Does that give us a reason to opt for live-in relationships? Hmmm...I’ll have to think over that!

After creating rocking and hard core designs inspired by the rock culture that runs in most of you, the exciting French label April 77 is all set to go for a full fledged clothing line. Yeah! I always bring good news, don’t I? Well, I hope that they do have a line especially for rock stars as they specialize in that.

Judging from their logo, the new one, it is not tough to guess that the line will have some very good and classy stuff. Look at the logo above, it is so dandy and cool. Well, thinking I am very intelligent I thought of getting some shots from their new collection for you but I guess they are smarter. They only have a few teaser photographs basically close up shots. So, I didn’t get much of it. Until, their collection doesn’t feature I guess we will have to get satisfied with these only. Till than keep your eyes wide open. And don’t dare to miss this collection. I will be back with some shots (not close ups) of the collection for you. Till then, style is all that matters. Remember; the evolution is on.

Yes, the British high end tailoring sensation Edward Sexton, whose suits can cost up to staggering $20,000, is coming to the States. Tailoring for celebs like The Beatles, Mick Jagger, Rupert Murdoch and there likes, his recent venture is with Michael Nouri for the TV show Damages, and if this is not enough, he is also a part of the forthcoming BBC documentary Savile Row.

Recently, he’s come up with ready-to-wear collection premiering at the London fashion week in February including the mentioned $20,000 ensemble which includes a tuxedo, evening coat, shirt, tie, shoes and accessories.

Amazing part is, he will come to you wherever you are to take measurements, then fly back to London to work on the suit, come back to you three times around for the fittings as well. Now that’s some hell lot of a job.

The entrepreneurial designer Tom Ford is set to take his brand global. Ford and his business partner, Domenico De Sole stated that they had signed several strategic agreements with their franchise and wholesale partners allowing them to spread out the Tom Ford brand in major cities on three continents that would start in 2008.

Tom Ford, president and chief executive officer said,

This is a great day for us as we have now laid the foundation necessary to become a true global luxury brand. The plan will allow us the platform needed to reach and service our customers worldwide.

Tom Ford men’s line will retail exclusively in the Madison Avenue boutique for the first year. The list of partners includes Lane Crawford Joyce Group for Asia, Villa Moda and UAE Trading in the Middle East, Mercury in Russia, Harrods in London and the Neiman Marcus Group in the U.S. Other partners include Trois Pommes in Switzerland and Daslu in Brazil.

Tom Ford is the person who made Gucci once again the name in the fashion. It was a particularly remarkable turnaround for Gucci that was on the brink of bankruptcy. But in 2004 Ford and his chief executive Domenico De Sole stepped down from their roles with Gucci. They have since created a high-end fashion company called Tom Ford, which produces fragrances, sunglasses and a signature ready-to-wear men’s line.

Men are the centre of attraction these days even in the fashion world. So, that’s good news for all you dandy men out there and a bad news for me and other female fashionistas. Wherever you look today it is some designer coming up menswear. I don’t know if they have forgotten that the other sex has still not got extinct. Roberto Cavalli too prefaced a bash of his with a fashion show. But he showcased menswear too. Ah! These men...always get in our way! By the way, the party was either without a reason or Roberto didn’t share it with anyone. However, I found a reason to like this showcase of menswear; PETE DOHERTY! Yeah! He is the new face of Roberto’s menswear and I am so crazy about him. So, I expected to see him on the ramp too.
The show basically had men in skinny jeans, a lot of leather and shorts too. The features however, had been exaggerated to create that overthrown look. The show had element all mixed up and that is the first time Roberto has put up something like this. As per me, there was a lot of mixing but not outside the boundaries and so, the collection certainly looked good. As far as I am concerned, Doherty didn’t turn up and my heart broke; did you hear that sound?
