Shaving for men was once something very important to make their images neat and clean. With dandy and grungy looks back in fashion, half of the men in the world have stopped shaving, still, I am here to talk about this latest shaving gadget. Why? Because I can’t ignore the other half, right? I thought why not I be an angel for them. Thus, I am continuing my angelic work. LOL! Ok, coming back to our real topic, the shaving gadget has been introduced by Braun.

The shaving system is called the ‘Braun Pulsonic Shaver’ and it is really a high-tech device. The system uses sonic technology that causes the shaver to vibrate at a speed of 10,000 microvibrations per minute. Now, how shaky is that? It is believed that this mantra gives the shaver a unique ability to give you a real close shave and also a massage to your face, which helps you relax. This is not the end. The system also includes Braun’s Sensitive Flexing Head and automatic Clean & Renew System. It also has a Energy Star-qualified battery charger, which in the world is first itself. The shaver is available in two cool models - the 9595CC with LCD screen at a small price of $250 and the 9585CC with LED lights, which comes for $220. For all you men, who like to be clean, this is a must and if you are a gadget freak - I know you gonna jump on it soon!

Personalisation is the keyword in today’s world, and Scabal definitely scales the boundaries with its new collection of clothing that gives new meaning to the word ‘personalisation’.

Ever since the company introduced its made-to-measure clothing concept some 25 years ago, Scabal has endured its position as the leader in personalised garments. Scabal’s Private Line collection gives you the advantage of wearing highly personalised clothing where you can have your name or even a personalised message weaved on the fabric.

The new technology makes it possible to weave full length sentences into the fabric. What else can have an appeal as great as having your thoughts weaved on the cloths that you wear?

Private Line collection is made of 98% wool and 2% cashmere. The fabric is available in navy blue, slate grey or black.

The sixties are hitting back in the womenswear and the eighties are coming back with the menswear this season. Yeah! And I have enough proof for that. The Italian design label D&G showcased its menswear collection and as I said the eighties trends were on the ramp. From shiny metal zips to studs or buttons on the trousers, from blanched tattered jeans to the amusing plastic jackets; the collection was truly inspired from the 80’s. The look had the punk style. Black, white, silver and grey ruled the ramp. Baseball boots, broad straps in sandals was the style for footwear.

Jeans, Jackets and even suits had zip and metal work. I really liked the idea of embroidering metal on the collars of white shirts and teaming them up with black ties. However, the ties were thinner then usual, so, you know what kind of ties to get. Even beading and jack motifs were a common site.

For more style updates, watch this space, till then rock and keep it stylish!

Dolce & Gabbana designs are always devastatingly sexy and I’m sure that you’ll surely praise the Teepee Polo & Extreme Cargo Pants from D&G. When I saw them, my first reaction was wow! They are so cool!

The white Teepee Polo t-shirt is just amazing. ‘I Wanna Make Love in a Teepee’ is written in the centre and has red, yellow and black teepee on front. The spread collar and short sleeves with banded cuffs are adding more grace to it.
Price: $145

Extreme Cargo Pants with hip and leg cargo pockets have extreme cut in earth. I liked its side slash pockets and the color is too good.
Price: $395

These magnified gear cufflinks are sure-fire must-haves if you’re into steampunk jewelry; and honestly they look so good that you’d still want them if you do not have the slightest clue about what steampunk is! These cufflinks are made by Grace Acosta of authentic vintage materials. And don’t think these gears are just for the show of it, they actually shift and move when you turn them back and forth! Magnifying cabochons are set into place over brass watch gears and sealed. When placed in gold, like this one is, the effect is more than just stunning.

Historic accounts on the evolution of fashion reveal the introduction of the tie in the form of school ties in 1880 at Oxford University. It marked the celebration of achievement. Soon it became a favourite style for men and then a fashion statement. The tie complements the formal attire for men. It adds a dash of class and dignity. A necktie, once considered essential for fine dressing, gives a sophisticated look.

But as lifestyle changed and fashion evolved, neckties got lost in a corner of the wardrobe. The emergence of the ‘Friday dressing’ concept and the contemporary look marked the downfall of the tie in men’s fashion. And all of a sudden ties were considered boring, dull, and unstylish. People started feeling uneasy and uncomfortable wearing ties. Once worn in style and elegance by everyone, ties got restricted to a few hardcore enthusiasts who would wear them to work everyday and on every formal occasion. The T shirt generation never could have dreamed about ties. And the contemporary hip-hop generation would proclaim it unethical. In the endeavour of men to keep up with fashion, the tie got ignored and was dropped off the list of fashion.

Surprisingly, ties have emerged again. Thanks to a few rock stars that brought neckties out from the closet. Even though the necktie hasn’t gained prominent popularity like the olden days, it is back. It is slowly becoming in vogue as novelty items in men’s wardrobe. And young professionals are slowly doing it with style even on casual Fridays. The creative and the bold are loosening up to a definitive style statement with the necktie. A multitude of style, pattern, and colour definitely makes the necktie appealing and smart. The tie is not dead, it’s haute. The question is whether to wear it or not.
